If you mentioned that you saw it on the Mattel Brand Overview as an item that IS coming out, they probably would have been a bit nicer.

I think it would be interesting to see what CS would say if someone asked for info. on Ruthie! LOL. I agree with others that AG wants to increase the element of surprise and anticipation. I'm sure that CS has been trained to answer politely without truly saying anything. It would be a hard job for most of us here, given the fact that we love to share the details. [img]smile.gif[/img] Time will tell.

I've gotten similar info from several CS reps, and they have all told me that they really aren't given any information about new and upcoming items until the day of or maybe the day before their release. I was on the phone with a very nice CS rep the other night, and she told me that she had seen a pic of Emily, but so briefly that she didn't remember what she looked like. Many reps have told me that WE get more info than they do, and we get it before they do too.

I agree that while we are all excited and curious, we should respect that there are some questions that CS are not allowed to answer.

I believe that CS does know everything that they claim to know nothing about. There is some information at my work that I am not allowed to release to customers. When I am asked questions about such things I usually claim to be too low on the totem pole to know that information. Sometimes I will give very vague answers that only tells the customer what they already know, but nothing more than that.

With that said, I see nothing wrong with asking questions, but I do not think that we should be disappointed when we do not get the answers we would like. I am sure that AG is aware that the excellent sleuthers on this board have found information on Emily, but that still does not allow CS to be free to share that information.
